Roast turkey?
Mashed potatoes?
Green beans?
Pumpkin pie?
Tofurkey?
Actually, we mean your phone menu.
Sorry, we’re just hungry for what is about to land on our table this week. We’re guessing you may be too.
Did you know that with NumberBarn’s forwarding plans, you can greet callers with a custom outgoing menu that allows them to press a key on their keypad to be forwarded to a separate phone number, like your cell phone and that of your business partner. And, you can add up to 10 forwarding phone numbers! *Note each menu option can only ring one number at a time.
Upload your own custom audio message that directs callers to press a key on their keypad. Be sure to check out 4 Tips for Creating a Professional Phone Recording.
Here’s an example:
Thanks for calling Pig, Inc. Please press 1 for sales, press 2 to make an appointment, press 3 to speak to a customer service representative.
When someone presses 1 – it routes to your personal cell phone.
When someone presses 2 – it routes to your business partner’s cell phone.
When someone presses 3 – it routes to your secretary’s cell phone.
This is incredibly helpful for a small business who may want to use their cell phone or the cell phones of other team members to route calls, but not have to give out the individual cell phone numbers.
No one will know it’s just you and your business partner sitting in a basement office. Or, that you are both miles apart from one another.
Here’s an example menu you can create with NumberBarn:
Caller dials your number –> Your menu recording plays
Callers dial 1 on the keypad –> The call is forwarded to your cell phone
Callers dial 2 on the keypad –> The call is forwarded to your business partner’s cell phone
Callers dial 3 on the keypad –> The call is routed to your receptionist’s desk phone
And, if there is no answer, calls will be routed to either your cell phone voicemail OR your NumberBarn voicemail, which you’ll receive via email (if enabled) or from within your NumberBarn account via the Call Logs.
Now, we think that makes for one deliciously easy menu!
