So, what does baking cookies have to do with phone numbers?
When you order a new number from us, there’s an activation time attached.
The activation time is the time it takes for the new number order to “bake” and be ready.
Just like waiting for cookies to bake in the oven, you have to wait for your new phone number order to complete before it’s ready for use.
And, just like you don’t pour the milk before the cookies are out of the oven, you don’t order marketing materials until the number is activated.
To find the activation time frame of a number before you make your purchase, search for your desired phone number on our website. On the left hand side, you’ll see the phone numbers available for you to choose from. And, on the right, you’ll see the price.
Directly below the price, an activation time frame.
- The Get It Now Option will take approximately 2-3 hours to activate your new number.
- All other numbers will complete within a 3-10 day time frame.
Since you can only port an active phone number, if you will be porting a number away to a new provider, you will need to allow the activation time frame to complete and your number to become active in your account.
