Did you know that some phone numbers are worth a pretty penny? Recently an individual we’ll call Charlie reached out to our Solutions Experts disclosing that his wife seemed to have “an interesting phone number randomly assigned to them by their carrier 7 years prior.”
When they started receiving numerous calls from people offering to buy their phone number, they first assumed it was some kind of scam. But then it occurred to them that perhaps their randomly assigned phone number actually spelled something specific. When they discovered that it spelled “INJURED” they reached out to NumberBarn to see how much it could potentially sell for.
Our Solutions Experts followed up with several options for Charlie and his wife to list the phone number for sale. Within a week, they had a bite. A big bite. An approximately $12.5k bite. Charlie and our team worked with his carrier to port the number and transfer it to the new owner to complete the sale. And just like that, they had a win-win. No more incessant callers and an unexpected sweet sum of money!

What excites me the most about NumberBarn is being part of how far we’ve come and how promising the road ahead looks for our company as it becomes a leader in the telecommunications industry. We truly are a family looking to help people and nothing excites me more in life than feeling like I’ve helped someone achieve a goal.
“What excites you most about your role as Solutions Squad Manager?”
What excites me most about my role is training and developing a team to believe they have the skills and knowledge to solve any customer problem by establishing a genuine connection.
When a customer expresses that our team has helped them in a way others have not, that brings the ultimate smile to my face. Their satisfaction becomes the exciting reason to reach that end result again and again with each new customer.
“Do you have a favorite customer experience?”
I’ve been in sales my entire career. I have so many favorite customer experiences, it’s hard to choose from. But, I would say one of my absolute favorite moments was when a customer shared his fascination with numerology with me and predicted the birth of my second child. I came back from maternity leave and had to tell him immediately.
“What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?”
My favorite hobbies outside of work are going to escape rooms, throwing themed parties, adventuring on scavenger hunts, playing board games, seeing movies in the theater, camping and offroading in the desert with my two kiddos, two doggos and the hubs.
“Tell us the strangest and funniest, weirdest or most unique thing about you.”
I mean there are too many weird things to count. I love to laugh until my cheeks hurt. The strangest thing about me is that I don’t curse and use replacement words like snickerdoodle. The weirdest thing about me is I hate feet. All feet, even my own. Well, I guess babies’ feet are ok but all others are “ew” in my mind. Or shall I say “pu?”

I’m confident that I am a real person because Captcha and my mama tell me so. 🙂

The way that NumberBarn has been able to penetrate the telecommunications industry and now we see customers coming to us with referrals from some of those big-name carriers to find a new number!

I get to help people find phone numbers that they want and get to see what personal preferences and touches they want instead of numbers that are assigned to them.
“Do you have a favorite customer experience?“
I got to work with two ladies to set up their account settings with our sister company, NumberGarage. Their number is vital to their operations of assisting youth in need in emergency situations and our simultaneous ring feature was exactly what they needed to make sure that they both received a call.
Their heart for the kids in their community was really what captivated my attention, plus they were a hoot to work with since they both had the same name so we had a lot of laughs in the process.

Going for walks with my pup and husband, trying new recipes to cook, and working on Puzzles with a good movie playing in the background.

I am really really good at memorizing movie lines and very small specific phrases or lines, My family and I often joke that my spirit animal is a Parrot because I love to repeat things and how they’re said. It’s not a perfect impersonation, but instead, it is My own interrupted sound and tone of a person!

A real person, although I very well could be a Parrot.
Hmmm…hopefully she hasn’t “missed her calling.” Sounds like she could be in some kind of … parroty!

A fresh start and having fun with it, not allowing past experiences to define my position.

The Windsor family, not sales-related but over the course of time they have almost become like family and always make my day when I hear from them out of the blue.

Reading and daily beach walks with my Frenchies. And a new found joy for cooking and trying new recipes.

I come from a real-life Brady Bunch family with 9 siblings. I live in Hawaii and own 2 businesses here.
