What is a cache?
In a nutshell, a cache is a temporary storage location. During a website visit, your browser takes snippets of the pages and stores them on your computer’s hard drive for easy access when you visit that page again in the future. Why do I need to clear my cache?
Sometimes, in the wild world of the internet, the cache can get confused and things may not load correctly on a website, like your username and password. When you “clear the cache” it gives a fresh start on loading the page, allowing you to login successfully.
Another way to picture it if you’re feeling festive: someone throws gobs confetti in your house. They drank too much wine and well, felt festive. How do I clear my cache?
If you’re logged into your NumberBarn account on a computer, tablet, cell phone, mobile browser, laptop, ice cream cone (ok just kidding about the last one), logout. This means you must physically hit the “logout button” on your screen.
