When porting a number to NumberBarn, how will you know when to cancel with your existing service provider?
We’ll stick with you throughout the whole process to make sure you know exactly when to cancel.
Important Porting Days to Remember
Transfer Authorized Date
Your porting request will take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days, up to 10 business days, to complete to NumberBarn from the submission date, after you authorize the port request. If issues pop up along the way, this resets the porting time frame.
The subject line of the email you’ll receive from us when your transfer has been authorized will be:
Transfer Authorized: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
Transfer Approved Date
This is the date on which the number port will complete to NumberBarn. NumberBarn notifies the account holder on file via email with a date of approval for completion.

Transfer Approved: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
Transfer Complete Date
The completion date is when the number completes transfer from the existing service provider to NumberBarn. When the completion day arrives, we’ll notify the account holder again via email.
The subject line of the email you’ll receive from us when your transfer has completed will be:
Transfer Completed: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
Cancellation Date
Once you receive the Completion Date email from NumberBarn, you will want to reach out to the original provider of your number to make sure it is cancelled on their system.
Cancellations may not happen automatically with your previous provider. We do not cancel your service with your existing provider. It is strongly recommended to check with your previous provider to make sure you no longer are billed.
